The legalization and decriminalization of Cannabis / Marijuana is occurring all over the US and globally. The push towards legalization has been strong for many decades; however, in the last 2 years we see a global shift in consciousness to this ancient plant. The roots of Cannabis prohibition in the US date back to 1906 when most States increased restrictions until eventually there was complete prohibition in the 1920's and the ultimate outlaw of the plant in 1970. The 1970’s were coincidentally the same years in which the potency of Marijuana began increasing from just under 10% steadily to about 14% in 1995. Fast forward to today and we have Cannabis flower over 30% THC; while the CBD levels have decreased from .26 to .14%. The Cannabis of today is nothing like that of 1995 or even the 1970’s.
Countries around the world that once held a rigid and negative stance against Marijuana and its consumers are now shifting their policies and beginning to open up to the plant. The numerous benefits of Cannabis can no longer be ignored. There are new applications of Cannabis being discovered every month that can contribute to longevity and harmony on Earth.
