In March of 2017 my wife and myself spent a month in the Yucatan Peninsula. While we were there we went on many adventures to local Mayan villages; as well as ancient archaeological sites. This was the second time we had been to the Yucatan, so we had to visit some friends we made the first time who lived by Uxmal. Last time we were in Uxmal we got to see one of the most amazing ancient Mayan settlements in which there were temples, houses, sports structures. Uxmal is about 62 kilometers south of Merida and is over 12,917 sq ft in size. This time around we got to do some filming and have the opportunity to take you on a tour of the site. We uncovered many truths behind the Mayan Civilization and their supposed disappearance. One of which is that they did not disappear and that there was a great natural cataclysm that wiped out almost half of the empire centuries before the Spanish came to the gulf coast. Take a trip with us to Uxmal below… and stay tuned for more mini documentaries as well as our full feature documentary on our trip to Southern Mexico and Belize. Sol and I are going back to the Yuctan next month November 2019 and will be taking many more videos and posting our discoveries.
