Jim as an earth scientist, it was his research into climatic change that took him to the dry, ancient lake bed where he was to come face to face with the remains of two Aboriginal ancestors Mungo Lady and Mungo Man. Together they rewrote history, as the oldest ritual burial sites in the world had come to the surface it was Jim’s fate to discover them. Joan brings the feminine aspect of the story through her connection to the Elders, including all the way back to Mungo Lady. These amazing stories are explored first-hand sharing the exciting discoveries and messages from Mungo. Jim’s forty years of research in collaboration with the Willandra World Heritage Elders has been enhance by making accessible a digital curriculum for schools.
