The Awakening Begins

Founder Neil Gaur was raised Hindu, but for much of his early life, he did not hold strong religious beliefs. He often described himself as more of an “atheist Hindu.” In 2001, he began noticing similarities between religions that were often presented as separate and unrelated. This sparked a journey to uncover the root of religion. His exploration led him to the Sumerian scriptures, The Epic of Gilgamesh, and a deeper investigation into religion through the lens of quantum physics. This full-circle awakening opened the door to a decade of curiosity, research, and spiritual exploration.

An Online Community Is Born

After six years of research and a series of mind-blowing experiences, Neil created a Facebook group called “2012 Consciousness, Mind, Evolution and Presence.” The group became a forum where thousands of people gathered to share information about the shift occurring on the planet, expose hidden truths, and explore spiritual insights.

From 2006 to 2008, the group’s name evolved several times as its audience continued to grow. Thousands of people began joining, and Neil eventually created local chapters around the world to rally the troops for the shift in consciousness. This marked the first true expansion of what would become Portal to Ascension.

Portal To Ascension Is Born

This was a pivotal year for Portal to Ascension. At the time, Neil was working as a financial analyst when the stock market crashed and he was laid off. About a month later, he had a vivid dream in which he was told to change the name of the group to Portal to Ascension.

That same year, Neil began shifting away from a heavy focus on conspiracy awareness and moved more deeply into a spiritual perspective. This marked a major milestone in his journey, as he began to understand and explore light and darkness, challenge and trauma, and consciousness on a much deeper level. The anger he had once felt toward distortion, lies, and manipulation began transforming into gratitude for the human experience and the lessons we all came here to learn.

Some of the first Portal to Ascension events were meditation workshops and sound healing gatherings held at Ginger’s Garden, a holistic center in Costa Mesa, California. It was a gift to have that space. The founder Ginger was an unconditional loving person that allowed us to flourish and experiment with event creation. Over the next two years, the venue became a central hub for Portal to Ascension, hosting numerous productions including holistic fairs, spiritual workshops, open house events, and one-day conferences. Those were the days!

PTA On The Road

In 2010, Neil attempted to return to a conventional job, but realized he could no longer ignore the deep calling within him. There was a powerful drive to continue the work he felt he had come to Earth to do, and that inner knowing became literally impossible to set aside.

Neil was 27 at this point and he would often think, “What do I do? Do I stay and work a corporate job and do what my family expects of me? Or do I take a chance and risk it all by following my inner calling?”

That summer, Portal to Ascension hit the road, embarking on the Tour of Love with our friend, holistic practitioner Dr. DREAM, and another colleague. Together, we facilitated a multi-modality group vibrational experience that incorporated Rife technology into a workshop setting.

With only two events booked when we left, this was a huge leap of faith. By the time the tour ended six weeks later, we had facilitated more than 30 gatherings in big cities and small towns across the entire West Coast of the United States and into Vancouver, Canada. Each event provided the resources and income needed to reach the next town.

Along the way, we met hundreds of people and had the opportunity to truly live our passion and our purpose. But it was only the beginning!

After the first tour, we toured three more times on the same route along the west coast, starting in Southern California. We facilitated sound healings, mini-conferences, and channeling workshops. Often, Neil could only make it to the next town if there was revenue generated from the event. On occasion he was left stranded for multiple days in towns until the money came in. Neil could go back and work a normal job, but he knew that this was what he wanted to do.

The Evolution

After four years of networking and facilitating numerous gatherings, Portal to Ascension began reaching out to conscious presenters from around the world to create two major conferences over a six-month period. Both events were held at the Temple of Light in Irvine, California. The first was Cosmic Reunion 2012, followed by Cosmic Reunion: Fourth Density.

These conferences marked a major milestone in the evolution of Portal to Ascension, taking our offerings and vision to the next level. Neil recognized the potential to create a worldwide impact by sharing this awareness with a much larger audience.

This was the beginning of Portal to Ascension creating larger ripples in the collective field by bringing disclosure awareness, the truth of the extraterrestrial presence, ascension wisdom, and deep esoteric teachings to a global audience through livestreaming and in-person conferences.

The Rough Years

Although these years were challenging, they were also filled with meaningful experiences and important lessons. During this time, Neil was deeply involved in a relationship with his future wife and was learning how to support her through child custody challenges, while also working toward becoming financially stable enough so that they could live, survive and thrive.

At the same time, Portal to Ascension was still not generating consistent income. Neil worked a variety of jobs and moved several times throughout Southern California. In many ways, these were the years when Neil had to grow up. He learned a great deal about being human, being in a relationship, navigating responsibility, and staying committed to a deeper purpose even when the path was uncertain.

By 2015, Neil reached a breaking point and considered quitting Portal to Ascension altogether. Then his friend Peter stepped in and said, “Neil, here is $3,000. Don’t quit. Figure out another way to keep it going.”

At the time, Neil had just accepted a job as an SEO specialist at a car parts engineering company. This moment forced him into deep reflection. Was he supposed to give up what he believed to be his life mission, or find a new way to keep it alive?

The New Way & The Rebirth

This decision would ultimately spearhead Portal to Ascension into the future with greater clarity and direction. Neil chose to move away from the expenses and limitations of in-person events, and instead bring everything online.

This marked the beginning of the platform you are experiencing here on this website today. It started with just one online event per month. The first was The Starseed Summit, featuring six speakers, including Dolores Cannon.

After about a year of hosting one summit or online workshop each month, the momentum began to build. Portal to Ascension eventually grew into one of the largest content and event production platforms in the world: dedicated to the shift in consciousness, disclosure, spiritual wisdom, esoteric knowledge, metaphysics, the quantum world, and more.

In 2018, Neil once again tested the waters with live event production, successfully bringing back in-person gatherings and global speaker tours!
