Adam Stokes

Adam Oliver Stokes is a biblical scholar, theologian, researcher and lover of history. He holds degrees in religious studies from Duke University and Yale Divinity School and did doctoral work at Princeton Theological Seminary. He has written on a variety of subjects related to pre-Columbian American history including ancient giants in North America, the civilizations of the Hopewell and Adena and the connection between Native American mounds/earthworks and biblical sites and temples.

He is a frequent contributor to Ancient American magazine and has also published articles in Ancient Origins magazine, Lost Origins and the Journal of Book of Mormon Studies. He is the author of From Egypt to Ohio: A Semitic Origin for the Giants of North America and The Latin Scrolls: Selections from the Five Megilloth translated from the Latin Vulgate. He has also written several other textbooks for use in both high school and college Latin courses.

Stokes is fluent in several languages both ancient and modern including Hebrew, Greek, Latin and German. He currently teaches Latin and theology in New Jersey. He spends his free time traveling to various mounds and earthworks on the east coast and in the mid-West. Stokes resides in southern New Jersey with his wife and two sons.
