Social Scientist & Futurists
J.J. Hurtak, Ph.D., Ph.D. and Desiree Hurtak, Ph.D. are founders of The Academy for Future Science, an international NGO (non-government organization). They are social scientists and futurists. Dr. J.J. Hurtak is also a specialist in remote sensing and space law. He has authored twenty books, including his best-seller, The Keys of Enoch ® that has sold over 100,000 copies in twenty-five languages. Among his many books is one he co-authored with physicist, Russell Targ, entitled End of Suffering. He has two Ph.Ds, one from the University of California (1977), and one from the University of Minnesota (1993). His M.Th. is from Luther Theological Seminary where he studied early Greek, Latin and Coptic literature from the Patristic period under Dr. Carl Volz.
Drs. Hurtak together have conducted extensive archeological studies in Egypt, and were two of the principal discoverers in 1997 of the “Tomb of Osiris” on the Giza Plateau. They have also worked in the pyramids of both Mexico and Egypt doing GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) and acoustic sound tests. They are research directors also of the Great Pyramid of Giza Research Association and some of their research is reported in their book entitled Giza’s Industrial Complex, co-authored with James Brown.
Additionally, they have worked extensively to support a sustainable environment. Dr. J.J. Hurtak in the late 1980s and 1990s, was scientific consultant for LASERTECH in Brazil which developed lasers for industrial applications and for the study of rapidly changing environmental conditions, particularly deforestation and soil conditions of the Brazilian farmlands and throughout the Amazon. They have worked to promote clean water resources and environmental habitats using remote sensing, with an understanding that time is running out for many non-renewable resources. Together they have helped the indigenous people in Africa and South America through their outreach of food, clothing and education, and for this, Dr. J.J. Hurtak was made an honorary member of the Xavante Nation in Mato Grosso, Brazil.
They also spoke together at the United Nations Rio+20 (2012), the UN DPI Climate Forum, New York (2007) and the UN World Summit for Sustainable Development (Johannesburg, 2002). They have spoken at major universities in Europe, South Africa, South America and the United States, and Dr. J.J. Hurtak has spoken before the Russian Academy of Science and the Chinese Academy of Science.
Drs. Hurtak were both scientific consultants for Sidney Sheldon’s bestseller of an alien encounter entitled The Doomsday Conspiracy (1992) and have been researchers in the field of extraterrestrial investigation for over 40 years. Dr. J.J. Hurtak, in fact, was a speaker at The First International Conference on ET Research in Acapulco with Dr. J. Allen Hynek. In 1979, he was one of the first to give a briefing to the world press (El Universal) on EBEs (extraterrestrial biological entities) in Mexico City. He was also a presenter at the first government-related UFO disclosure conference When Cosmic Cultures Meet, in Washington DC (1995), along with Dr. John Mack and Dr. C.B. “Scott” Jones. Both of the Hurtaks also spoke at the Barcelona UFO Congress (2019), where they shared a panel with physicist Michio Kaku. One of their most recent contributions is a chapter in Alan Steinfeld’s book, Making Contact (2021).
Their scientific papers include: The ontological basis of quantum theory, nonlocality and local realism (2019), What is Time? Time is it? (2018), Reexamining Quantum Gravity (2017), Examining the Existence of the Multiverse (2015), together with one of their books, Mind Dynamics in Space and Time, co-authored with nuclear and theoretical physicist Elizabeth Rauscher, Ph.D., formerly of Lawrence Livermore Lab and the University of California, Berkeley. Together they are recognized for their provocative work that affirms a science of consciousness within a multidimensional cosmology and humanity’s destiny in space.
They have also been pioneers in the area of space law, having published papers with the American Astronautical Society and the Mars Society. In 2005 and 2012, they were invited speakers at the Law School at Northeast University of Santa Catarina, Brazil, on space law and safeguarding non-renewable resources, and Dr. J.J. Hurtak’s papers have been published by McGill’s University’s Institute of Air and Space Law and The University of Mississippi’s School of Law’s Journal of Space Law.
They have written ten books together, including The Overself Awakening, published by The Academy For Future Science, which is also well known for its music and video presentations directed by Drs. Hurtak, making them the holders of fourteen gold and silver medal film awards for their work in bringing science and art together in the media. These films and documentaries include: Merkabah, The Light Body, Extraterrestrial Realities, Gates of Light, and Voice of Africa: The Zulu Shaman Credo Mutwa.
They are members of the Evolutionary Leaders, and are on the board of FIONS (New York) which is associated with astronaut Edgar Mitchell’s IONS (Institute of Noetic Sciences). Their websites are www.futurescience.org and www.keysofenoch.org
